What is Honeycomb Panels?
Honeycomb panels are lightweight, high-strength composite materials that typically consist of two skins and a honeycomb core. The core is usually a honeycomb structure made of paper, aluminum, plastic or other lightweight materials, which is designed to provide excellent strength and stiffness while effectively reducing weight. Honeycomb panels can be used in a variety of applications that is aerospace, construction, furniture, automotive, such as walls, ceilings, floors, hulls, and in industries.

Thickness
The thickness of honeycomb panels is generally 6mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, etc. Honeycomb panels of different thicknesses are suitable for different occasions. We can customize honeycomb panels according to customer requirements
Dimensions
The size specifications of honeycomb panels are generally 1220mm* 2440mm, 1500mm* 3000mm,2000mm*4000mm, etc. Among them, the size of 1220mm* 2440mm is the most common. Honeycomb panels of different sizes can be cut and processed as needed to meet different usage requirements.
Material
The material of the honeycomb panel is also an important factor affecting its sizespecifications. Common honeycomb panel materials currently on the market includealuminum honeycomb panels, stainless steel honeycomb panels, FRP honeycombpanels,carbon fiberhoneycomb panels, etc. Honeycomb panels of different materials have different properties and uses, so we provide customized services， including raw material selection.
Figure 1 shows how to make a honeycomb sandwich panel.
The skin and the core material are bonded together with the adhesive film. The aramid honeycomb core is closely bonded with the upper and lower skins to form a skin sandwich panel structure. This structure achieves a perfect combination of stiffness and strength of the plate. The aramid honeycomb core material can significantly improve bending stiffness and strength.
With a weight increase of only 6%, the stiffness is increased by 37 times and the strength is increased by 9 times, which showed by figure 2.
